Mariella Florentina Cassano is a flower shop owner from London, UK. Being born and partly raised in Rome, Italy, she feels very drawn to the sun and italian culture. In her free time Mariella loves to plant flowers, going for a swim and discovering new surroundings.

Mariellas always dreamed about having her own little flower shop and when the woman was 22 years old she finally made that dream come true by buying her store in Greenwich, London in 2019. Now she’s working hard to open up her second shop in Stratford, East London, pushing her dreams even further.

SEGA trademarks Skies of Arcadia, Eternal Arcadia in Japan - Gematsu

SEGA filed trademarks for “Skies of Arcadia” and “Eternal Arcadia” on January 16 in Japan, which were made public on January 24.

Skies of Arcadia, known as Eternal Arcadia in Japan, is a turn-based RPG originally released for Dreamcast on October 5, 2000,. An enhanced GameCube version titled Skies of Arcadia Legends, or Eternal Arcadia Legends, followed on December 26, 2002. The game has never been ported or remastered for newer platforms, despite high fan demand.

I got to play this game for the first time this year on my twitch channel (with Cee, our Vyse, helping me through discord) and wow how charming and wholesome it was! I didn't grow up with a GameCube, so I'm so glad that streaming has been able to open my opportunities to play games I never got a chance to as a kid.

I first discovered Fellowship in ~ 2022 right before I went abroad and their music goes HARD when you just want a hug. In the year of our Lord 2024 I finally saw them live now that they’re big enough to leave the UK and it was AWESOME. Their new album is fantastic and hearing the songs I’ve grown to love live was just. Dang.

I unfortunately ran out of time to do a full color artwork but I really wanted something to get signed and this was the result. Not only do they make good music, they’re also really nice people that hung out with us and chatted to fans for ages. I’ve rarely felt so relaxed around artists because they’re just very sweet, kind people who live what their music says. Can’t wait to see them again in April.

Album of the Week: Fellowship - The Skies above Eternity

Thoughts: I've already talked about their first album, which is one of my absolute favorites. In fact, I am on the bus listening to this album as I type this. If you need a pick-me-up this is the band for you. The second album is just as positive as the first, and Matthew's voice is wonderful once again. I love his warm tones and the emotion he brings into the songs, on the album and on stage.

Have you ever been so excited for something you psych yourself out of doing the thing? That was this album, because my expectations were so high I was scared to listen to it. Of course none of the songs have the iconic status as Glint, which I've sung 5272637 times by now but that's not how that works.

This album continues their musical style, with a upbeat and warm sound, the songs telling a story of overcoming adversity and gaining confidence. One of my favorite tools they use are the choral segments and bridges with limited instrumentation for Matthew's voice to really shine before the finale.

Victim is melodically fun but also heavily relatable (and great for OC playlists), which is mirrored by World End Slowly which is way more cheerful. King of Nothing feels a bit like a Battle Beast song in how energetic it is. Eternity starts out with a vaguely Asian-inspired melody, which is really fun. Hold up your Hearts again is a great intro song because it's closest to the first album, as if it's taking you by the hand and leading you from one album to the other.

I'm excited to read the novel for the album, because the songs will make a lot more sense then but even now it's just plain fun to listen to and the topics are somewhat universally applicable. The novel wasn't finished until release for various reasons but they're hoping for February/March - I'm excited to read it, because the first one was really fun to read, with charming characters and interesting world building.

Me, writing Shattered Fate:

I am going to give all these characters so many existential crises. And then hugs.

Ignitus has to grapple with his unborn son being egg-napped because of his own negligence to verify he grabbed the right egg before sending it down the river while another was taken. And then see said son corrupted and twisted while Malefor usurps him as the dad for the poor kid.

Spyro gets to learn 1) he was egg-napped, 2) the guy he thought was his dad(Malefor) isn't actually his dad, 3) he kidnapped and imprisoned his actual dad, while also dealing with the after effects of Malefor's evil brainwashing and corruption. And y'know, the reputation you get after the copious amount of war crimes committed by this poor kid.

Cynder first finds out she is, in fact, not a dragonfly. Then she gets to find out she's not technically the prophesied dragon, and is, in fact, the Plan B, but also still kinda has to have her crap together because she's here, she might as well help kick some butt. And also, I'm considering making her a magic sponge, due to the Purple-ification, which leads to... shenanigans, regarding certain parts of these games.

And the other three Guardians have the fun little combo of being captured and imprisoned for years, their friend and fellow Guardian's son being the one responsible, and having to mentor two Purple Dragons while also grappling with the fact that two Purple Dragons exist in the same generation because of Malefor and his BS.

How is it that Sparx, of all people, is having the least existential crises of the main cast?!
